Stop Covaxin trial in Bhopal: NGOs working for gas victims write to PM

At minimum four NGOs working for

the survivors of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy on Sunday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding that the ongoing medical trials for Covaxin, an indigenously designed COVID-19 vaccine, be stopped in the Madhya Pradesh money in look at of the “gross violation of legislation and guidelines”.

In the letters addressed to the PM and Union Health Minister Severe Vardhan, these NGOs have also sought punishment for the “liable functions who were being negligent in guaranteeing the basic safety, well staying and the legal rights of the demo contributors”.

They also demanded financial payment for “damages brought about throughout the Covaxin demo in Bhopal”.
