Dr. Leon Haley Jr., CEO of College of Florida Well being Jacksonville and dean of the UF College of Drugs, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 24, at the age of fifty six.
Action News Jax claimed that Haley died following being ejected from a jet ski following losing control and crashing into a jetty.
In addition to serving as CEO and dean, Haley was a UF professor of crisis drugs and vice president for overall health affairs for the university. He assumed his UF roles in January 2017 and grew to become CEO of UF Well being Jacksonville in January 2018.
