MARKET LIVE: Sensex dips 150 points, Nifty below 9,200; OMCs tumble

Indian fairness marketplaces slipped on Wednesday amid combined global cues, dragged decrease by oil promoting companies and FMCG shares.

Oil promoting companies’ shares declined following the Centre hiked excise responsibility on petrol and diesel and asked the OMCs to absorbe the price tag hike. BPCL crashed 9 per cent when HPCL tumbled ten per cent.

The S&P BSE Sensex fell 150 factors to 31,300 levels when the Nifty50 index gave up 9,two hundred. ITC (down 5%) and Axis Bank (down 4%) were being the major Sensex laggards.

The Nifty sectoral indices were being mostly in the purple, led by Nifty FMCG index, down 2.3 per cent.
