Having ready for a new-age agriculture exactly where technologies and IT methods will play a major position, Prof Jayashankar Telangana Condition Agricultural College will begin experimenting with drone spraying of pesticides and fertilisers.
Commencing the approaching kharif period, the college will measure the effects of this sort of spraying on several areas of a plant and accumulate knowledge.

The university’s scientists will create Conventional Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the top at which the drones should really fly, the width of spray protection, and the intensity of the spray on several areas of the plant.
Put up iterations, the SOPs for drone flight route, altitude, quantum and spread of the payload for several crops can be replicated by farmers. “We have chosen paddy, cotton, redgram, maize and soya for the pilot that we are having up in five districts,” Rao stated.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has offered permission to the college and Marut Dronetech Personal Restricted (which provides drones) to use drones for analysis and standardisation of plant safety methods and building protocols for the prognosis of major pests and diseases. The permission is legitimate till March sixteen, 2022.
Founded by IIT-Guwahati alumni, Marut Dronetech has developed drone methods for eradication of mosquitoes, sustainable agriculture and afforestation.
“We have mapped and invited about one hundred ten tech begin-ups doing work in several features of agriculture to evaluate their strategies.
