75% voter turnout recorded in seventh phase of West Bengal elections

The seventh phase of West Bengal assembly polls was held peacefully with an approximated voter turnout of 75.06 for each cent until five pm on Monday, in accordance to the Election Fee.

Voting commenced at 7 am on Monday amid limited protection and concluded at six pm.

Voting was held in 11,376 polling stations spread across 34 assembly constituencies in five districts.

Between the 34 constituencies that went to polls in Section-VII, six are in Dakshin Dinajpur, six in Malda, 9 in Murshidabad, 9 in Paschim Bardhaman and four in Kolkata.

Between the five districts, Murshidabad recorded the maximum voter turnout of 80.37 for each cent until five pm. The lowest voter turnout was noticed in Kolkata South with 60.03 for each cent.

Constituency-wise, Raninagar in the Murshidabad district recorded the maximum voter turnout of 84.35 for each cent adopted by Bhagabangola at 83.50 for each cent. Rashbehari constituency in
